Intellectual Property & Confidentiality

Intellectual Property

Murdoch University Statute No. 18 - Intellectual Property sets out the circumstances of ownership on Intellectual Property.  Copies of the Statue may be obtained at: http://www.murdoch.edu.au/admin/legsln/statutes/statute18.html

or from the Manager, Industry Liaison in the Division of Research and  Development
(08) 9360 6466, or e-mail: ddabala@central.murdoch.edu.au

Confidentiality

There are University procedures for enabling research degrees to be completed when they involve confidential aspects, such as commercial confidentiality.  They may involve restrictions on publication of results for a specified period of time. The procedures often enable some chapters of a thesis to be restricted in distribution, with sunset clauses of usually not more than a year.  Confidentiality aspects are agreed upon at the time of submission of the Programme of Study. Further information can be sought from the Manager of the Graduate Centre (PH: 9360 2583/6506 or e-mail K.Olkowski@murdoch.edu.au )
