How to get an email account and modem/dialup access

All postgraduate students will automatically have an account generated on the Student Network. This will be in the format "yourstudentnumber@student.murdoch.edu.au"
Postgraduate students who choose NOT to use the account that has been automaitcally generated, should take care to login to MyInfo (using Student Number and Murdoch Password) and register their preferred e-mail address, so that messages sent to their Student Network account are forwarded to the preferred e-mail address. Postgraduate students (who are not also staff) may apply for an alternative email account to the Student Network account, by completing the appropriate form (http://www.its.murdoch.edu.au/forms/PostgraduateEmailApplicationForm.pdf) (PDF) and having it authorised.

The email account application form needs to be signed by the appropriate Faculty Executive Officer for authorisation before being returned to IT Services where it will be processed. There are no charges made to individual users for an email account.
If modem dialup access other than that provided for students by the Internet Traffic and Modem Time Quota System is also required, then an online form needs to be completed for this, and it must include an account code ( https://wwwcoms.murdoch.edu.au/remote/online/apply).
