Eligibility: The Part Time Research Studentship for Women is available to women enrolled on a part-time basis for a research degree at Murdoch University. To be eligible, candidates must be able to demonstrate an absence from previous studies of at least one year in order to undertake family responsibilities, and an inability to enrol on a full-time basis for compelling reasons, such as the need to undertake part-time employment or to fulfil major family commitments. (A desire to enrol part time is not in itself regarded as a compelling reason.) Students cannot work full-time while in receipt of this award.
Benefits: Living allowance of $11,250 pa (taxable)(expected 2010 rates). Thesis allowance up to $420 (MPhil, MEd (Research), LLM (Research), Research Masters (with training)) or $840 (PhD, EdD). Relocation allowance may be available to eligible students. Applicants must be enrolled in or applying for admission to part-time candidature for the degree of MPhil, PhD, EdD, Research Masters (with Training), MEd (Research) or LLM in 2010 and possess an honours degree (at least upper second-class honours) or equivalent.
