Graduate CentreScholarship ExtensionsPhD Scholarship Extensions Applications for extensions to either an Australian Postgraduate Award or Murdoch University Research Studentship can be submitted to the Graduate Centre. Extensions of up to a six month period will be considered on individual merit. Applications for periods shorter than six months are also welcome. Only those students enrolled in a PhD can apply for an extension to their award. To be eligible for an extension to your scholarship you must have all data (or information) collection/analysis and field work* completed and have at least half of the chapters of your thesis written to thesis quality at the time of application. You will also be required to explain why you need an extension to your scholarship and you will need to provide a detailed plan that explains how you will finish within the extension period. The plan should provide a thesis outline along with information on what thesis chapters have been completed to thesis quality, as well as target dates for the completion of each of the remaining chapters to draft and thesis quality, * in the case of a creative theses, the creative work should be complete to thesis quality , as well as a substantial amount (at least half) of the chapters of the exegesis written to thesis quality at the time of application Applications for an extension to your scholarship need to be submitted to the Graduate Centre at least 6 weeks before the 3 year expiry of your scholarship. Applications for extension received more than one month after the expiry of the scholarship will not be considered.
