The Grants & Information OfficeDiscovery ProjectsIntroduction Discovery Projects recognise the importance of fundamental research to the national innovation system. Its purpose is to provide opportunities for a continuum of activities, from smaller single research projects to clusters of larger projects, in order to meet the varied needs of researchers in different disciplines and at different stages of their careers. Where appropriate, Discovery Projects emphasise the need for collaboration and the development of capacity-building partnerships to work on a cohesive research programme that will make a major contribution to generating knowledge. It also allows for single projects to be undertaken on an individual basis. All applicants
are advised to read the ARC Discovery Projects Funding Rules and other
relevant application material available at ARC's website.
