The Grants & Information OfficeARC Discovery - Federation FellowshipsNext Funding Round will be on 28 November 2008 We have put together this page as a summary, guide, and information source for all of Murdoch's researchers who are thinking of putting in a Discovery-Federation Fellowship application in the next funding round which will be in 2008. Please visit the ARC's website, where you can view further information and download guidelines and instructions when they become available. Up to 25 Fellowships are offered each year of the five-year scheme under Backing Australia's Ability, the Australian Government's 2001 innovation action plan. Open to applications from outstanding international researchers, the Federation Fellowships program particularly encourages applications from Australian and non-Australian researchers currently working overseas. A preference will be given to early to mid-career researchers who will play a leadership role in building Australia's internationally competitive research capacity. The objectives of the scheme include attracting and retaining leading Australian researchers in key positions; attracting outstanding international researchers to undertake research which is of national benefit to Australia and supporting research that will result in economic, environmental and social benefits for Australia.
