Commercialisation OfficeCommercialisation OfficeThe role of the Murdoch University Commercialisation Office is to encapsulate our research opportunities at the earliest embryonic stage, and to translate these benefits to industry using streamlined and cost-effective approaches. Through the support of the exclusive AUD 10M Murdoch-Westscheme Enterprise Partnership Fund, our researchers are well-positioned to conduct pre-seed R&D, and to further disseminate their intellectual property through sustainable, market-driven enterprises. The success of Murdoch’s commercialisation strategy is evident through the formation of 6 spin-off companies within the last 3 years. The provision of patient capital and infrastructure, as well as the investment directions of our partner, Stone Ridge Ventures, adds further value to these early-stage companies. In particular, we have been successful in leveraging additional support and funding through Federal initiatives such as the COMET and Commercial Ready programs. As part of a broader strategic plan, Murdoch continues to maintain a strong culture of research collaborations with industry partners and research institutions. This has led to significant successes, as evidenced by our most recent spin-off, Cellumina Pty Ltd, a collaborative venture between Murdoch University, Curtin University and the McComb Foundation.
