Research Strengths

Murdoch was created as a research university and since its establishment in 1975 it has earned and maintained a strong reputation for the excellence of its research work. The University has a demonstrated ability to work with commercial and public sector partners with a high proportion of our academic staff engaged in productive, income generating research.

The University has focused and established its research strengths into five major areas of research excellence and an Academy of Advanced Studies recognising Murdoch's top researchers. These research areas reflect the University's strengths and multi-disciplinary skills with a focus on issues of international significance:
