Research Institutes

Murdoch was created as a research university and since its establishment in 1975 it has earned and maintained a strong reputation for the excellence of its research work. The University has a demonstrated ability to work with commercial and public sector partners with a high proportion of our academic staff engaged in productive, income generating research.

The University has focused and established seven Research Institutes; recognising Murdoch's top researchers. These research Institutes reflect the University's strengths and multi-disciplinary skills with a focus on issues of international significance:
